Cooper Tire to Restart Mexico Facility April 13

Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. said Friday it would restart operations at its tire plant in El Salto, Mexico, on April 13.
“Measures to protect the health and safety of employees, including social distancing, additional cleaning and disinfecting of facilities, restricted visitor access and other necessary steps will be in effect as employees return to work,” Cooper Tire said.
The company first announced the plant would temporarily close on March 21.
Cooper Tire also said its U.S. plants are likely to remain closed for at least two more weeks, and added that plants in Europe(Nyheter) also continue to be temporarily closed.
Plants in China continue to operate, the company said.
